During our March “On The Road” feature, Steve Splonskowski, RPR Executive Director, and Brandon Clark, Programming Director, came to you live from St. Augustine’s Parish in Austin, MN. In the first hour, Steve and Brandon spoke with Fr. Sean Kilcawley, a keynote speaker at the upcoming Redeemed Made for Greatness Men’s Conference, about the attacks on our identity and mission as beloved sons and daughters of God. After this interview, Neha Thawani Nanda, a Pacelli Catholic Schools 8th Grader, shared her excitement for qualifying for the National Spelling Bee. Then, it was time for your calls during our Straight Talk segment with Fr. James Steffes.

In the second hour, hosts Brad Gray and Nathan Sather joined the Diocese of New Ulm’s Deacon Mike McKeown to talk about the role physical healing has in evangelization. This interview was followed by our 10-Minute Tour of local events. Mark and Irene Mehlos then shared how their broken marriage was healed through a program called Retrouvaille. Finally, our hosts visited with Shelly DeMers of Dakota Hope Clinic in Minot, ND about finding peace and healing after an abortion experience.

In the first hour, hosts Brad Gray and Nathan Sather began by visiting with Matt Finneseth about his journey as an RCIA candidate to joining the Catholic Church and the special weekend known as the Rite of Election. James Baxter joined our hosts to talk about a program called Exodus 90 and why more than 6000 men are currently on this 90-day journey. It was then time for your questions during our Straight Talk call-in segment with the Diocese of Fargo’s Fr. Charles LaCroix.

In the second hour, host Msgr. Patrick Schumacher sat down with Jan Wieser of Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota to talk about how one Catholic Charities program is helping people get their prescription medication if they have limited means or no access to prescription drug insurance. It was then time our 10-Minute Tour of local events. Dr. Beverly Everett of the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra talked about their upcoming performance featuring a local talent from the Bismarck area. Finally, Agnes Harrington, one of this year’s Catholic Charities North Dakota Caritas Award Recipients, shared how she has been giving back to her community through helping at her parish, expanding opportunities for youth, and caring for those struggling with addiction.

Patrick Schumacher began by visiting with Paul Steffes of Steffes Corporation in Dickinson, ND about his experience as a business owner and how he brings faith into the workplace. It was then time for your questions during our Straight Talk segment. Listeners wanted to know Monsignor's thoughts on topics including: where the idea of indulgences comes from, if there is temptation in Heaven, and how we can be encouraged to grow in our personal relationship with Jesus.
